The Pacific Chorus Frog, Pseudacris regilla are small tree frogs with distinct black eye masks and range in colour from green to brown to tan. They have the ability to gradually change colour within this range. They hibernate in burrows, rocky crevices and rotting logs. In the Okanagan they emerge around March or April and can be heard calling as they prepare for mating season. They prefer breeding in ephemeral ponds, slow flowing creeks and shallow lakes without fish predators. After breeding they spread out into wet terrestrial areas for the remainder of the season.
Original paintings may have slight marks on the paper outside of the painted image. I do my best to keep them clean while working and only select the pieces that are white clean. A minimal mark from an eraser is sometimes visible.
