The Boreal Toad, Anaxyrus boreas prefer high altitude wetland habitats. They breed in still, open water in the spring and summer depending on the temperature. Females will lay 3 to 10 thousand eggs in long double strands. The male toads lack a vocal sack so only the female toads can call. Tadpoles develop into tadpoles with legs, toadlets with tails to toadlets in a two month time span.

Original paintings may have slight marks on the paper outside of the painted image. I do my best to keep them clean while working and only select the pieces that are white clean. A minimal mark from an eraser is sometimes visible.
